i've finally opened one at 55th pack today. lion of the golden city. now I dont feel as bad but it's still bull****

Updating my bad luck streak. 64 packs without a single legendary.

In the last 10 packs I got 3 golds, 2 of which I already had 3x.

It's true that Cygames is generous, but had this happened during my first month on SV I would have quit without regrets.

just bought 10 packs of wd and it only had 2 golds in it. I can only help but laugh now at 38 packs with no legendary and about 4 golds... was going to throw some more $$$ at cygames but probably not now between this and the meta.

 

edit: honestly i feel scammed having just spent 160 on their specials but thats me i guess. wow thanks for all the dupes. garbage...

Luckly my luck isn't bad on this expansion but it was pretty bad on the last one so i know the feel, adding a guaranteed legendary after a while is definitely a good idea(It wouldn't influence the people who already opens tons of legends so they probably won't lose any money, and it would encourage people to buy more packs at once).

I dont see any harm in giving us a pity counter especially since Cygames increased the amount of legendaries in each set which drastically decreased our odds of pulling the legend we want. 

1 Legend for every 20 packs or so sounds fair and they could also make packs bought with crystals give a minimum of 3 silver or greater rarity cards to give more incentive to spend money on the game. Seriously, can you imagine dropping 30+ dollars on this game and not pulling a single legend and only a handful of golds? 

I love how generous cygames are with packs but things are not perfect so hopefully they will consider this for their next update.

I finally managed to break my bad luck streak. After 72 (!!!) packs without a single legendary, I managed to pull... Jeanne D'Arc.

...

I guess my bad luck is not entirely over yet. o.O

You'll manage to pull one, eventually. Just avoid spending vials if you're not sure decks you're interested in are viable, and stick to decks you already have, or requiring little expense. :)

There are decent decks that are quite cheap to craft (Midrange Shadow only requires Eachtar nowadays, Storm Haven can work with no legos, etc).

For example, in this Spawn-centric meta I was probably the only one playing no Spawn at all because I didn't want to spend vials on him. And I'm working with a budget version of Burn Rune with no Oz.

(turned out that I could have spent those vials on Spawn, as he's getting nerfed :P but I had no way to know some weeks ago)

If the percentages they state are true and my calculations are correct factoring in the fact that you can't get a common as your 8th card, the expected pull from 10 packs is 1.2 legendaries which I would say is pretty good taking into account their generosity with rewards if you take advantage of promotion periods and three missions per day. 

Would people support having a pity timer of 15 packs (guaranteed to pull a legendary after every 15 packs) but having Cygames reduce the legendary droprate by 20%? So basically going from an average of 1.2 to .96 legendaries per 10 packs? Cuz I feel like if they were to introduce a pity timer, they wouldn't just keep everything else the same although I would love if that was the case.

I would love the pity timer - currently 30+ packs without a legendary and only handful of goldens :/ I was on streak like this before too, then I pulled like 5 legs from 10 packs, now my pack luck seem to be on the downswing again, not too frustrating because I'm FTP and still managed to reach masters and craft top tier decks for all the classes (even ramp dragon) and I got like 15000 vials from nerfs, but still annoying.

Well, if I include Jeanne D'Arc (which is not exactly a top tier legendary...) my current run is 80 packs, 1 lego.

I have no real issues, because my collection is decent and I have some spare vials... But such streaks could happen to newbies as well, and that's another story.

@Adubs, I'd prefer a pity timer with a slight adjustment to the drop rules (e.g. you can only get 1 gold/legendary per pack). Even a 25-30 packs timer would do. I know that RNG is a thing when it comes to CCGs, but there should be ways to keep the variance under control (be it "good" or "bad" "luck"). It's OK to brick during games, it's OK to be paired to stronger players with counters to your deck many times in a row, but if you can't build your collection properly your gaming experience will be poor, and the company could lose a potential player.

Isn't all of us have saved vials pre-exp? hack, last nerf got what? 10K-14K of vials?

I'm Ok with current system.

My pulls in this game have been decent.  Also, I've hit the point now where no matter what packs I buy I hit liquid.  I can now make pretty much any card I want to within a week even with bad pulls.  There was a time when I had no rare pulls for a long long time.  I was able to acquire my rares via crafting.  However you do need rares to get to legendaries.

I'd say 1:18 is a good pity average.  That said I am okay with extra legendaries.  Just makes it easier for me to make more later.

I'm OK as well, but I'm talking about newcomers experience. A new player might spend 4 hours rerolling until he gets decent legendaries, but then for the next 50+ packs he gets nothing... It's frustrating.

It's not a big deal when you already have a decent collection, but when you're just starting paying it might hurt a lot.
